Complex Care Assistant – Ringmer, Near Brighton

Location: Ringmer, East Sussex

Pay: £12.71–£16.00 per hour

Shifts: 10, 12 and 14-hour shifts available

Hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities

At HFH Healthcare, we're looking for friendly, enthusiastic and compassionate Complex Care Assistants to support a young man in his own home near Brighton.

Our client thrives on interaction, laughter and playful activities. He particularly loves bath time, where splashing, water games, silly noises and plenty of laughter are all part of the fun!

We're looking for someone who will get involved, encourage him and make everyday activities enjoyable, rather than simply completing care tasks.

He's a tall young man who enjoys physical interaction and being close to the people supporting him. You'll need to be confident, patient and comfortable providing hands-on care while maintaining appropriate boundaries and supporting his safety.

What will you be doing?

• Providing personalised one-to-one care and companionship.

• Encouraging interaction, play and meaningful activities.

• Making bath time and daily routines fun, engaging and enjoyable.

• Supporting personal care, dressing and bedtime routines.

• Providing PEG care and supporting medication administration in line with training and competencies.

• Supporting safe moving and handling and physical care needs.

• Promoting comfort, dignity, safety and wellbeing.

• Working closely with family members and the wider care team.

What are we looking for?

• Previous healthcare, support work or complex care experience desirable.

• A fun, playful and naturally engaging personality.

• Someone confident supporting a tall individual with physical care needs.

• A patient, calm and encouraging approach.

• Someone comfortable with appropriate physical interaction and hands-on support.

• Excellent communication and observation skills.

• A reliable, compassionate and attentive attitude.

• Willingness to learn individual routines and follow care plans.
