Requirement: At least 6 months healthcare experience.

A compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Live-In Personal Care Assistant is required to support a friendly gentleman in his late 20s living in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

The gentleman has a spinal cord injury and requires support with daily living, including mobility assistance, bowel management, cough assist, and catheter care. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, person-centred care, enabling him to live independently and comfortably in his own home.

Working Pattern:

• Live-in position

• 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rota

About the Client: The gentleman is sociable, easy-going, and enjoys spending time with friends and family. He is a keen football fan, particularly supporting Manchester United, and values a carer who is positive, engaging, and happy to support him in maintaining an active social life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing personal care and support with daily living activities

• Assisting with mobility, transfers, and positioning

• Supporting bowel management routines and catheter care

• Assisting with the use of cough assist equipment

• Promoting independence, wellbeing, and community involvement

• Supporting social activities, appointments, and outings as required

• Working collaboratively with the client, family members, and healthcare professionals

Essential Requirements:

• Experience supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries or complex care needs

• Confidence with personal care, mobility assistance, and catheter care

• Knowledge of bowel management and cough assist equipment is desirable

• A caring, patient, and professional approach

• Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently within the client's home

What HFH offers:

• Daily pay rates up to £134.48*, weekly pay up to £941.36*.

• Typically, our live-in clients have clinical needs that require approx. 11hrs support throughout the day.

• Where possible we will offer you work to meet your availability and as a guide, for a live-in carer wishing to work a 2-weeks on, 2-weeks off pattern (which equates to 26 weeks a year), earns up to £24,475.36* per annum.

• We employ all staff directly and manage all aspects of your pay via PAYE, rather than Limited Company or Self-employed status. This removes the need for you employ third party companies or calculate your own tax. PAYE also protects you from breaching IR35 tax regulations.

*Please note: This dependant of their shift pattern (days/nights/weekends) and these rates shown are inclusive of holiday pay which is accumulated per hour worked.
