Your Experience Could Make a Life-Changing Difference
Are you a compassionate, experienced Care Assistant with tracheostomy care experience and a passion for supporting young adults with complex needs?
At HFH Healthcare, we're looking for a patient, attentive and reliable Complex Care Assistant to support a young man in his early 20s in his own home in Aylesbury.
Our client lives with a brain injury, epilepsy and complex tracheostomy care needs. He communicates non-verbally, making it especially important to have carers who are observant, understanding and willing to learn his individual communication methods.
We're looking for someone who brings both clinical confidence and genuine kindness — someone who understands that small interactions, consistency and taking the time to listen can make a big difference.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll provide dedicated, one-to-one support, helping our client remain safe, comfortable and well cared for at home.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing personal care and assistance with daily living.
Supporting complex tracheostomy care in line with the individual care plan.
Observing and responding to changes in breathing, comfort and wellbeing.
Supporting epilepsy management and following agreed seizure protocols.
Learning and responding to the client's non-verbal communication cues.
Supporting positioning, comfort and daily routines as required.
Maintaining accurate care records and communicating with the wider care team.
Creating a calm, reassuring and positive environment.
All specialist interventions must be carried out in accordance with training, care plans and assessed competencies.
What We're Looking For
At least 6 months' professional healthcare experience.
Previous tracheostomy care experience is essential.
A calm, patient and compassionate approach.
Confidence supporting someone with complex physical and neurological needs.
Strong observation and communication skills.
Experience supporting non-verbal clients is desirable.
Knowledge of epilepsy care is an advantage.
Reliability, attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a dedicated care team.
Availability for 10–12-hour shifts.
The right carer will combine practical experience with patience, empathy and a genuine commitment to understanding the person behind the care needs.
Why Join HFH Healthcare?
At HFH Healthcare, you'll work with one client per shift, rather than travelling between multiple homes. This gives you the opportunity to build trust and deliver consistent, person-centred care.
We offer:
Competitive hourly pay.
Enhanced weekend and bank holiday rates.
Paid annual leave and company pension.
Direct PAYE employment.
Carer Recognition Programme.
Refer a Friend Scheme – £150 for carers and £500 for Registered Nurses.
Free confidential wellbeing support helpline.
Blue Light Card discounts and savings.
Support from dedicated clinical and operational teams.
Ready to Make a Difference?
If you're an experienced Care Assistant with tracheostomy experience who takes pride in delivering safe, compassionate and attentive care, we'd love to hear from you.
